Industry Mentorships

United Properties understands building relationships and connections greatly impacts future success in the real estate industry. We partner with the following organizations to offer mentorships: NAIOP, Urban Land Institute and ULI REDI Program, and the Commercial Real Estate Diversity Collaborative.

United Properties has been a supporter of the Commercial Real Estate Diversity Collaborative (CREDC) for several years. Janelle MacLean is a member on behalf of United Properties.

United Properties has been a long-time supporter of the Urban Land Institute Real Estate Diversity Initiative (ULI REDI) in both Minnesota and Colorado. The ULI REDI program is a 12-session curriculum and cohort experience designed for professionals identifying as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and women working in various real estate industries.

UP Internship Program

United Properties partners with UpTurnships, who strives to build strong bridges between gainful, growth-minded employers in the Twin Cities and dynamic, diverse local talent who are motivated, ambitious, and ready to be part of a new, more inclusive Minnesota workforce.

Pohlad Sponsorship Program

In 2021, Pohlad Companies created a cross organization, cohort-based program aimed at helping talent to connect through career advocacy, talent visibility and professional development. Research has found that while mentoring is essential to leadership development, it is not enough, on its own, to help talent advance. Successful outcomes points to a more influential professional relationship: sponsorship.
