VERO BEACH, (August 23, 2018)  – Watercrest Senior Living Group and United Properties announce their partnership’s second senior living development in the groundbreaking of Watercrest Sarasota Senior Living Community. Walker and Company will begin construction of the 198-unit, luxury senior living campus this fall, with scheduled completion in Summer 2020.

After more than 40 years in the commercial real estate industry, champion John Saunders has truly left a lasting legacy throughout his career. To commemorate his retirement, let’s look at his real estate journey and some of the key legacies he will leave behind.

Asset Management and Analyst Intern Nusrat Chowdhury came to Minnesota in the fall of 2016. Her mother, who disapproved of her moving across the world from Bangladesh, told her not to tell anyone that she was a practicing Muslim. Never feeling uncomfortable to disclose her religion, Chowdhury embraced her new life in Minnesota and put down new roots in a place she’d call home for the rest of her academic career.

United Properties’ CFO Eric Skalland and his wife Amanda spent 80 days in the NICU at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN after their daughter, Elin, was born 12 weeks premature. Those 80 days spent in the hospital were filled with uncertainty, worry, and apprehension. “The whole time you’re in the NICU, you never know when you’re going to take your child home,” Skalland explains.

As a commercial photographer who has been in the business for more than 30 years, Perzel travels from coast to coast (as well as internationally) capturing the architectural beauty of the exteriors and interiors of office spaces, skyscrapers, industrial buildings, and other sites.
